Long time, no siege. (Tuesday, July 26, 2005)
The title of this post is my favorite quote from the game Age of Empires 2. How fitting...
So it's been a while since I've posted. Not much to talk about really. There's not a whole lot going on in my life. SSDD as they say. And I'm now at a loss for words, so maybe I'll write more later.

Greetings everyone! (Saturday, July 16, 2005)
Hello all! I've wonderful news... Yesterday (Saturday) I became a Master Mason!
Alright, now for the not so wonderful news... that problem I was having with the CD drive... yea, it wasn't the CD drive. It's definately something else, because even the new CD drive I brought home does the same thing. Maybe I should toss that box out and get a new one. On top of all that, I've got problems with my Gentoo server. So I've backed up the important stuff from it, and I'm now installing a new OS. Fedora Core 4. Hey, I've been wanting to try it. And if it's not as cool as it's chalked up to be, I'll install RHEL4 (or more accurately, CentOS4, a community rebuild that doesn't cost $1,000+). I know that'll provide for a stable server environment... and the addition of SELinux will be welcome. Bring it on hackers (not really, please don't hurt me...)
That's about it for now...

Troubles (Thursday, July 14, 2005)
Well, I ran across a problem last night while trying to install Fedora Core 4 on minime. The CD drive can't read CD's... it appears to lock up while attempting to read a CD, and the OS continues to load like normal (ignoring the CD). I can't even mount the CD while logged in. However, the "eject" command works fine. Perhaps the "head" is just dirty, but I can't get to it. I'll swap it out with one I've got here at work today. That's all for now.

Updates (Wednesday, July 13, 2005)
Well, it's been a while since I last wrote. Sorry about that. I'll attempt to give you the usual updates in a timely manner.
I'm currently in process of downloading the 4 CD distribution of Fedora Core 4. I plan to install it on minime. I've been hesitant, however, I figure what the hey. I moved my other site over to minijax for the time being. I've missed Fedora (haven't been running jax lately, too loud and hot). So I'll be installing it within the hour (after all the cd's have finished downloading... I've got two machines working on downloading the ISO's, and it's going super fast).
I just picked up my new suit today. I got it on Monday (thanks to Sarah) and they were tailoring the pants. I got it for my initiation into Masonry this Saturday morning. I can also wear it for Shonka's wedding. So that'll be cool.
And I guess that's really about it right now. Not a whole lot more to say. I lost 6 pounds over the last month without really doing anything. I think I may go to the gym later tonight, and see how much I can lose this month. That's all for now...

Arizona (Tuesday, July 05, 2005)
Well hello everyone! Sorry I didn't write last week. Was busy. I just returned from a weekend (July 1st through the 4th) in Phoenix, AZ. What a trip. We (Sarah and I) went to the Grand Canyon, and it was just spectacular. It was an all around great time. And I liked the area. I may just have to move, it all depends on if I can find a (cheap) house with a pool. Let me know if you know of any...
